Melia Athens is an imposing modern nine- floor hotel set in downtown Athens, 300 metres from the National Archaeological Museum. All 136 air- conditioned guestrooms have neutral decor and furniture in soft pastels. Marble bathrooms have jetted tubs, bathrobes, slippers and telephones. Guests can wine and dine in Vivendo, which is open daily for dinner and serves modern Italian and Mediterranean dishes from an a la carte menu; at lunchtime a buffet is available.
